From 31-May-2020 the original WS1080 weather station has been retired due to inaccuracies creeping in with age. It has been replaced by a custom Aercus build with newly written software based around the RaspberryPI. This new station is placed 3m above ground, 20m from the nearest buildings of potential impact. The ground below is a mixture of grass and concrete. Recent analysis shows an improvement in pressure and wind readings. ---- For historic analysis reasons, the previous weather station is described below: Maplin USB Wireless Weather Station (Watson WS1080). Installed 2.5m above a grassy area, not in the shade, nearest (and only near) building is the neighbour's property at 6m away to the NW (will affect wind measurements). Current observations needs adjusting as follows: Temperature reading is max +4 degrees C during direct sunlight (2pm). QNH reading is -3mb. An auto calibration will be made soon.
